Reenlistment Day!

Today, my sweet hubby will reenlist for another few years in the Army! I'm excited because in a few more months we will be moving to another duty station in Utah! I'm sooooooooooo happy to be getting out of here! Not only will we be getting out of here, BUT both of our families live in Nevada so we will be closer to home! I can't tell you how happy I am! I haven't seen my mom and dad in about a year! That's just way too long for me! I am thankful that the military gives us a chance to see different places, but after 3 years in Germany and a year and half of this place, we are ready to be closer to family. I remember last Thanksgiving, I had to work and Chris had the day off. My family was going to be in Arizona with the rest of my family having Thanksgiving at my Aunts house. I gave them a call and they were all already at the table and they were all shouting into the phone telling me hi and that they wished I could be there. I got off the phone with tears in my eyes. Its hard to be away for so long, but mine and my husbands relationship benefitted so much from it! We have such a strong and healthy relationship. We have learned that we are the only ones we have to turn to when we have problems. Squabbles and misunderstandings are never left unapologized for and we are totally 110% supportive of eachother. Another thing about living this military life is that I know at any given moment he could be sent away for months, we both know that. So we try to make the most of everyday with eachother. Of course, we give eachother the space we need, he has his hobbies and I have mine. I'm thankful for all the good and bad experiences we've had together, because without them I don't think we would be the same people we are today in this relationship.

I didn't want to get that mushy, but it just poured out of me! LOL! Thats all for today, I'm going to get back to some of the projects on my list! I'm opening an etsy shop so I've been working away on some cute creations! I'll write more on that later!

Yeah, I'm Canadian through and through.
The main difference between us and the States is this...the temperature!!!
If you were to come to Edmonton, things aren't much different here.

I really am proud of you about supporting your DH, I wanted you to know that!
